Study rules
At the 23rd regular session held on October 12, 2018, the Senate of the University of Sarajevo adopted the Decision on Adopting Study Rules for the first, second cycle of studies, integrated, professional, and specialist studies at the University of Sarajevo number: 01-1094/18.
These Rules regulate the organization and conduct of studies in the first and second cycles, integrated, professional and specialist studies, as well as other issues related to enrollment and organization of studies, duration of studies, forms of studies, examination and evaluation procedure, conditions, equivalence procedure and the procedure for conducting the final thesis, study documents and other relevant issues of importance.
With the entry into force of these Rules, the Study Rules for the first cycle of studies at the University of Sarajevo number: 0101-38-274/11 of 29 December 2010, the Study Rules for the second cycle of studies at the University of Sarajevo number: 0101-38-275/11 dated December 29, 2010, and the Rules on Amendments to the Study Rules for the second cycle of studies number 02-38-1241/12 dated May 14, 2012.

At the 26th regular session held on December 19, 2018, the Senate of the University of Sarajevo adopted the Decision on the adoption of Study Rules for the third cycle of studies at the University of Sarajevo – doctoral studies, number: 01-1101-79/18.
The rules of study for the third cycle of studies at the University of Sarajevo regulate: detailed organization, duration and conduct of studies at the University of Sarajevo, holders of studies, conditions for enrollment in studies, method of teaching and research, application procedure, assessment and defense of doctoral dissertation, rights and obligations of the doctoral student, composition of the committee for evaluation and defense of the project, working versions and final versions of the doctoral dissertation, rights and obligations of mentors, as well as other issues related to the organization and execution of studies.
Established forms form an integral part of these Rules (DS 1 – DS 10).
At the 27th regular session held on January 30, 2019, the Senate of the University of Sarajevo passed a Decision on amending the Study Rules for the third cycle of studies at the University of Sarajevo number: 01-3-40/19.
