In the second cycle of study at the Department of Physics, students can enroll in one of the following three study programs:
- Physics Education (two years, four semesters, 120 ECTS credits)
- Physics Education (one year, two semesters, 60 ECTS credits)
- Physics (one year, two semesters, 60 ECTS credits)
Within all of the aforementioned study programs, teaching consists of lectures, tutorials, and practical exercises, including laboratory work.
PHYSICS EDUCATION - 120 ECTS
Students who have completed the first cycle of a three-year physics study program can enroll in the second cycle of study in the Physics Education program, which lasts for two years. Upon successful defense of the final thesis, students obtain the academic title Master of Physics Education. The diploma holder is primarily qualified to work as a physics teacher in secondary schools.

PHYSICS
Upon completion of the 240 ECTS Bachelor’s Degree program in Physics or Physics Education, the students are eligible to enroll in the Master’s Degree program in Physics. By choosing from three categories of elective courses, the students may deepen their knowledge in one of the following areas of physics:
- Theoretical Physics
- Experimental Physics
- Medical radiation physics
Upon defense of the master’s thesis the students are awarded a Master of Physics degree. A more detailed description of the curriculum is provided at the following link:
